How do I get help in Canvas?

Students can connect with Canvas Support through chat or phone, 24/7/365, via the Help button on the Canvas global navigation bar.

The Help menu has the options shown below, including the support phone number at the top and the “Chat with Canvas Support” link under “Other Resources.”

Help in the Quinnipiac Canvas Course Template

If your instructor uses the Quinnipiac Canvas Course Template, there is a Canvas Resources for Students ****page in the “Getting Started” module. If you don’t see the page, ask your instructor if they can provide it to you.

How do I access training for Canvas?

Check out the Student Getting Started Resources page on the Instructure Community site, to get started with Canvas! As we migrate to Canvas, QILT is encouraging all instructors to take a moment to review their course in Canvas with students, ensuring they know how to navigate the new environment, where to find key resources, and how to engage with course activities and assignments.

Student technical support issues should be resolved by the IT Help Desk, either through their expertise or by utilizing the platform’s support resources.
