Recap

The 2025 Inclusive Excellence Summer Assembly invited us to consider how we can intentionally include ourselves in a broader approach to our inclusive practices.

Inclusive practices in classroom spaces, curricula, and communities are built on an ethos of care. We pay attention to the barriers people face in learning experiences, social environments, and program design, and strive to remove them. Given the current challenges facing higher education, prioritizing inclusive practice as a driving value in our teaching can be challenging. This year’s sessions focused on how we can take care of ourselves and support one another, dismantle exclusive structures and practices in our classrooms, and build a strong community around our shared values.

Thank you for joining us!
